Denise Naeve is Adjunct Professor of Voice and Piano
at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa
currently on a sabbatical as she pursues a doctorate in
Philosophy, Cosmology & Consciousness at the California
Institute of Integral Studies. She holds a Bachelor of
Music from Iowa State University and a Master of Music
with a double concentration in Vocal Performance and
Piano Pedagogy from Southern Illinois University.
Reflecting a broad background, Ms. Naeve’s performances
span genres from Music Theater, Oratorio and Opera to
recital work. Her teaching experience includes eight years
in the public school system and over 20 years as a private
instructor of voice and piano in her home studio.

| Her contributions to the professional
growth of students, colleagues and associations are many: while in Iowa, she organized
summer music camps and numerous voice and piano seminars bringing major artists
into her community. In addition to chairing many festivals and auditions at the state
and district levels, her voice students have been chosen for National Honor Choirs with
the American Choral Directors Association and have been Semi-Finalists in NATS
competitions. Her piano students have been honored in many various festivals and
state auditions as well as Nebraska Piano Olympics.
Ms. Naeve became a certified McClosky Voice Technician in 2000 and has since presented
seminars in Atlanta, Boston, Seattle, Milwaukee, Bloomington, Indiana and has held
master classes for colleagues in Los Gatos, CA and Scotch Plaines, NJ. She also holds
an interest in Body Mapping and is currently training to certify as an Andover Educator.
Ms. Naeve served as Vice President and President of the McClosky Institute of Voice. She
is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda Honor Society and maintains professional membership
in NATS, ACDA, MENC, and American College of Musicians Piano Guild. She is an active
adjudicator for these organizations, holds MTNA permanent professional certification in
voice and piano, and is listed in the 2009 and 2010 editions of Marquis Who’s Who in
America.
