This is a sampler of Italian songs
and arias from the 19th century.
The French items were all written
by Italian composers who had
gone to Paris to make a living.
Some of these selections will
appear on future CDs which will
be more focused. All will feature
rarely performed or recorded
music.

This CD is a collection of arias
written by most of the Italian
composers who followed Giuseppe
Verdi. The exception is Giacomo
Puccini who we will be covering in
a separate album. There will also
be a CD exclusively covering the
works of Pietro Mascagni. We have
tried to cover the maturation of
each composer starting with each
of their earliest works.
